That's where process goals come in. Process goals are about the journey, not the destination. They focus on the specific actions and behaviors we need to take to achieve our desired outcome. Instead of fixating on losing weight, a process goal might be to exercise for 30 minutes five times a week. Instead of aiming to write a novel, it might be to write 500 words every day.

Outcome goals are often dependent on factors outside of our control, such as the economy, the weather, or other people's actions. Process goals, on the other hand, are entirely within our control. We can control our actions and behaviors, which gives us a sense of agency and empowerment.
